We need to know where you are to work out the direction to Makkah.
Qibla direction

from North, turning clockwise
—distance to the Kaaba
—your location ·
How to use it
- Hold your phone flat, screen facing up, like a plate.
- Tap “Start live compass”. If your phone asks for permission, tap Allow.
- Turn your body slowly until the Kaaba symbol sits under the gold arrow at the top. The circle turns green.
- You are now facing the Qibla. Allahu Akbar — you are ready to pray.
Tips for accuracy: stay away from metal, magnets, cars and speakers. If the direction jumps around, move your phone in a figure-8 a few times to calibrate it.
No compass on your device?
Laptops and many tablets have no compass. Use the number above with an ordinary compass: point to North, then turn clockwise by that many degrees.
A difference of a few degrees is fine. If you sincerely do your best to face the Qibla, your prayer is valid. More ways to find the Qibla.
